AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS (10/6/2023)

The usual "This is Rampage, baby!" theme and opening video hits to get this week's show officially off-and-running. We then shoot inside the Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA. where the commentators welcome us to the show.

The Hardys & Best Friends vs. Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia

We head straight to the ring where Excalibur and Tony Schiavone informs us we're kicking off with a bang. They explain that Chris Jericho is not with them following the attack by Powerhouse Hobbs and The Don Callis Family on Wednesday's four-year anniversary Dynamite show.

The bell sounds and we're off-and-running with eight-man tag-team action, as The Hardys and Best Friends team up to take on the four-man team of former J.A.S. members Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia.

Angelo Parker and Chuck Taylor kick things off for their respective teams. We see Parker fare well early on, but then Taylor takes over and tags in Jeff Hardy. Parker tags in Daniel Garcia. Jeff and Garcia end up in a dance-off before all hell breaks loose with everyone hitting the ring.

When the smoke clears, we see the former J.A.S. crew in dominant control of the offense. They work over Jeff Hardy in their corner of the ring, while utilizing frequent tags as Anna Jay is shown watching on from ringside in their corner.

All the guys end up in the ring again. This time, The Hardys and Best Friends get the better of the situation. They clear the ring of the heels and then give the people what they want with a big four-way hug. They hit big high spots to the floor and then the heels take over again as we head into a mid-match commercial break.

When we return, we see some back-and-forth action and then The Hardys hit their finishers for the win. Fun, entertaining opener.

Winners: The Hardys & Best Friends

Renee Paquette Interviews Eddie Kingston

We shoot backstage where Renee Paquette is standing by with ROH World and NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston. He is interrupted by Sonjay Dutt, who enters with Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett and Satnam Singh.

Dutt talks on behalf of Jay Lethal. He tries punking Eddie Kingston into putting his ROH World Championship on-the-line against him. "The Mad King" takes shots at the whole Jay Lethal crew and then tells them to excuse his back as he walks off. We head to another commercial break on that note.

Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta vs. Wise Guy Ruiz & Levi Shapiro

We return to a "Very nice, very evil" vignette to the tune of London Bridges Falling Down, promoting the return of Danhausen to AEW. We then shoot back inside the Stockton Arena for our next match of the evening.

With that said, we hear Claudio Castagnoli's theme and out he comes accompanied by fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Wheeler Yuta. The two head to the ring for scheduled tag-team action.

Already in the ring are their opponents, two local enhancement talents by the names of Wise Guy Ruiz and Levi Shapiro. The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one. Yuta and Shapiro kick things off for their respective teams.

Yuta immediately takes it to the opposition. After a few seconds he tags in Castagnoli, who picks up where he left off, taking it to Shapiro and Ruiz with ease. Castagnoli hits the giant swing on Shapiro. Yuta hits a dropkick while he's swinging. Yuta leaps off Castagnoli's shoulders for a splash and the pin for the win.

Winners: Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta

Renee Paquette Interviews Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia

When the match wraps up, we shoot backstage to Renee Paquette. She asks them about coming up short in tonight's opener. Daniel Garcia acts like he was doing everything by himself. Matt Menard takes issue with this. They all head off to take Anna Jay to the hospital as a family.

ROH World Championship Eliminator
Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Johnny TV vs. Komander vs. Lince Dorado

Now we return in the Stockton Arena where "The Dapper Yapper" Justin Roberts introduces the first competitor in our next match of the evening, which is to determine the next challenger to ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston.

"The Mad King" checks in on special guest commentary as Penta El Zero Miedo, who Kingston points out is his best friend, makes his way out and heads to the ring. He settles inside accompanied by Alex Abrahantes. The theme dies down.

We hear some coughing and then in his AEW debut, Lince Dorado comes out. The masked man heads to the ring to a non-reaction from the Stockton crowd. Kingston points out he broke in at the school Kingston came up in. He recalls beating him up a lot in the past.

Harley Cameron's annoying voice then introduces our next competitor. She does her annoying singing and musical performance to bring out QTV's own Johnny TV. Out he comes accompanied by Aaron Solo. The three head to the ring together.

And finally, the fourth and final competitor in this high stakes match, Komander, makes his way out. As his theme plays, the third masked man in this four-man match heads down to the squared circle and settles inside. Alex Abrahantes also walks Komander to the ring.

All four men are inside and it's time to get this highly-anticipated match, which on paper looks awesome, officially off-and-running. The bell sounds and this one gets going with all four men duking it out and the crowd going nuts in the background.

Dorado and Komander clear the ring and mix it up together inside the squared circle as fans loudly chant "Lucha Libre!" After Penta hits a big high spot to take out a pile of bodies on the floor, he is hit from behind by Johnny TV on the floor. The fans boo as we head into a mid-match commercial break as the match continues.

When we return, we see a bunch of high spots back-to-back-to-back and then Komander finishes things up with a 450 splash off the top-rope for the pin fall victory. With the win, Komander earns a future shot at ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston.

Winner and NEW No. 1 Contender To ROH World Championship: Komander

Mike Santana Sends A Message To Ortiz

We shoot backstage to a word from Mike Santana, who is very critical of his former partner, Ortiz. He claims he is a fake tough guy. He vows to expose him. He says karma took his one knee. He's gonna take his other. After this, we shift gears and head into another commercial break.

Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir

It's main event time!

When we return from the commercial break, Excalibur speed-reads through updates to the lineups for Saturday's AEW Collision, as well as next week's AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday show. From there, we switch gears and get ready for our main event of the evening.

The theme for Marina Shafir hits and out she comes. She takes her socks off and throws them at fans in the crowd and then heads into the ring. Nyla Rose is introduced next and she comes out to join her in the squared circle for our final match of this week's show.

Now the familiar sounds of Hikaru Shida's theme hits and the former AEW Women's Champion makes her way to the ring. She stops and waits. Her music dies down. Kris Statlander's theme hits and the TBS Women's Champion makes her way out.

Shafir and Rose violently assault Statlander and Shida on the floor before the match even begins. We see Statlander laid out at ringside, as Shafir and Shida kick things off for their respective teams, as the bell sounds to get this one officially off-and-running.

Every time Statlander gets close to recovering on the floor, we see Rose beat her back down. We head to a mid-match commercial break as Shida continues to get beat down by the heel duo. When we return from the break, we see much of the same until finally Statlander gets the hot tag.

Statlander takes the hot tag and heads into the ring with a ton of energy, hitting her first offense of the evening. She works over Shafir, but then Rose helps Shafir beat her down again. Now the two take turns working her over in the ring until finally Statlander hits a big blue thunder bomb that buys her some time.

The TBS Women's Champion makes the much-needed tag to Shida. The former AEW Women's Champion hits the ring as fans chant her name. She hits a big dive to the floor on Rose and then a Falcon Arrow on Shafir in the ring for a close near fall attempt. Shida hits Saraya's Knight Cap finisher for the win. That's how this week's show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!
