Malakai Black has been removed from AEW's official roster page on their website.
As of February 3rd, Black was still listed between Luther and Mark Briscoe, but by February 10th, his name was no longer present.
According to a report from Fightful Select on January 16, Black is not returning to AEW. He had finished his run with the company and was written off in Will Ospreay's promo. Sources close to him indicated that he had expressed a desire to return to WWE in recent years.
While Black has departed, his tag team partners Buddy Matthews and Brody King, who are now known as The Hounds of Hell, continue to appear on AEW television, joined by Julia Hart. Will Ospreay and others have referenced Black’s exit during recent broadcasts.
