-- The Lucha Bros - Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix - have been reportedly over the summer as strongly headed to WWE once their AEW contracts expire. Some reports went so far as to suggest that the brothers had already signed with WWE and that merchandise for them was already being developed but these were proved after it was revealed that the duo remains under AEW contract.
-- The situation with Penta seems more easy to predict as his deal is up within the next two months and it is believed that WWE will or has made him a strong offer and that he will be leaving AEW, despite a significant offer from Tony Khan. Penta has been unhappy with how he's been used creatively in AEW and also has been frustrated at not being able to wrestle on any AEW shows that also had CMLL talent performing.
-- It appears the situation with Fenix is way more complicated as it was reported in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW is adding injury time to his contract which is actually fairly significant - in the ballpark of one year, but not quite that long. That would mean that he will not be able to sign with WWE until that time passes and it would seem to put a snag in the plans of the brothers who were looking to jump to WWE in a package deal. Given that, it remains to be seen how AEW chooses to use Fenix moving forward or perhaps, even if they choose to do so. He hasn't wrestled for the promotion since July.
