-- AEW superstar Adam Cole has been out of action for over a year due to an ankle injury but it sounds like his return is just around the corner.
-- Cole sustained the injury last September and ended up undergoing two separate surgeries that ultimately caused AEW to drastically change their creative plans, according to fightfulselect.com. However, the word backstage at recent TVs is that the company is hopeful, perhaps even expecting, to get Cole back "sooner rather than later." The report adds that the wheels are already in motion for his return, presumably as it relates to creative plans.
-- Cole was recently backstage at AEW's All Out, walking around without the assistance of crutches or other devices. This comes after he was previously brought on the road with AEW but then sent back home as it appeared the travel was slowing down his progress. It was also believed that he became in-ring training last month in preparation for a return.
