AEW star Thunder Rosa is separating from her husband after 14 years together.
Posting to Instagram, Rosa indicated that she and her husband - Brian Cervantes - have decided to go their own ways in a "friendly and respectful manner." Cervantes is also a name in the wrestling industry as he owns Mission Pro Wrestling out of San Antonio.
Below is her full statement:
After 14 years together, Brian Cervantes and I have decided to go our separate ways in a friendly and respectful manner. Relationships sometimes change shape, but the care and respect remain.
I had the privilege of raising and adopting his son as my own, a gift I will always carry in my heart.
I’m grateful for the support I received at the beginning of my career, and I kindly ask for respect and understanding during this time of transition.
Thank you for always standing by me.
Melissa Cervantes — Thunder Rosa
Rosa has not been seen on AEW TV since July's All In: Texas due to unspecified reasons, however, last month she indicated that "everything is going well" and she was hoping to be back in the ring with AEW "fairly soon." Whether it is injury related or not, Rosa has battled her share of ailments over the last few years, most recently dealing with a concussion in 2024.
