AEW's Adam Copeland Celebrates 33 Years In Wrestling; Says He Doesn't Have A Lot Of Time Left

Adam Copeland (aka Cope in AEW) posted to Instagram today, sharing it has been 33 years since he first stepped foot into a wrestling ring.

In the post, he reflects on his journey but revealed that "it won't last a lot longer" in reference to how much longer he will wrestle for. In the recent past, Cope had suggested that he would retire at age 53 when his current contract with AEW expires, putting him down to the last 1-2 years of his career if true.

Cope hasn't been on TV since early April when FTR turned on him at AEW Dynasty. It was expected that he would be back in action for this month's All In: Texas to team up with Christian Cage against FTR, but that plan has been put on hold as Cage wraps up his storyline with Nick Wayne.

"On Canada Day 33 yrs ago I made my wrestling debut. In Oakland Raiders Zubaz and a pair of Converse. Nowhere to go but up. Since then, I’ve travelled the world. Literally. Everywhere you can think of. From Moose Landing to Monterrey, from Bloodvein to Bucharest. It’s been a long, fruitful, soul expanding, soul diminishing, amazing, frustrating, exhausting, exhilarating journey over 3 decades. The best part? I hear every one of you when I blast out of that entranceway and sing Metalingus at the top of your lungs. It’s never been lost on me what a privilege that is. Australia I’m lookin at you! It won’t last a lot longer so I’m gonna soak in every second. Thank you for coming along on this ride with me. #happycanadaday🇨🇦"
