-- Aside from wrestling at some non-televised events in Japan over the summer, AJ Styles has been largely absent from WWE TV since Clash at the Castle which has led to many wondering about his whereabouts and status with the company moving forward.
-- Fightfulselect.com reports that Styles' future in wrestling is "uncertain", more so because it is believed that his current contract with WWE is set to expire either late this year or early in 2025, with the belief that the former timeline (later this year) is more accurate. There doesn't seem to be any news on whether the two sides have even begun any negotiation talks but for now Styles is completely healthy, off TV and simply enjoying time with his family.
-- While not recent, Styles has previously gone on record to state that he would be retiring after his current contract ended, stating on Lilian Garcia's podcast that he wanted to be there for kids. Whether that is still accurate or not remains to be seen.
"I had no doubt that you know this is what I was going to do for my career. It really was. And you couldn’t have told me any different. And I can tell you that the contract that I signed, here in the WWE, is my last. This is it for me. This is where I’m going to end my career no matter what happens. I got to, you know? I want to be there for my kids."
