Alberto El Patron, the reigning AAA Mega Champion, has been suspended from wrestling in the city of Tijuana for a period of six months after an incident following a March 14 event.
El Patron was wrestling El Hijo del Dr. Wagner in Tijuana when he left the ring and confronted a fan. Footage from the event shows Alberto arguing with multiple people before throwing a chair and getting one thrown at him in return. It was later reported that a woman in the audience had to be taken to the hospital when other items began to be thrown around. The Tijuana Wrestling Commission investigated the incident and suspended the wrestler for 180 days.
Another description of the incident by Rob Viper noted that "Alberto appears heated at someone in the crowd post-match. He tries to hop the guardrail but isn’t able so he circles to a place he can get over. He then throws a chair at someone off camera as securitry intervenes. Another fan seeing this then throws a chair hitting Alberto in the head which starts a slight melee with people throwing things. One story going around is an old lady got hit by a flying chair at some point & ended up in hospital."
Alberto El Patrón (conocido también como Alberto del Río en WWE) ha sido suspendido por la Comisión de Tijuana por seis meses debido a lo ocurrido en un evento de AAA de este pasado viernes.
