Backstage Details on The Elite Re-Signing With AEW; Potential WWE Interest, more

-- Earlier this week, AEW announced that The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page have all signed new contracts with the company and will be staying with AEW for many more years. While the exact length of the deals is not known, fightfulselect.com reports that one of the contracts was for "at least four years" and it's also unclear if all the deals match up length wise or if they are different. The report also notes that Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Omega will retain their existing EVP role with the company and that the agreement was finalized within the last few weeks but negotiations had been ongoing for many months prior to that, perhaps as early as January 2023.

-- Sources within WWE had indicated that their company would have had interest in any and perhaps all members of this group and some even felt as if WWE had a good chance at landing the group if they hit free agency but of course, talks never happened with the group re-signing. The company reportedly had a positive experience dealing with Omega and the Bucks back in 2018 when the three were considering their options as free agents before ultimately committing to AEW.
