However, it has become evidently clear that Swerve has vastly outperformed the terms of the deal while enjoying a lengthy title reign and so the company quickly engaged in negotiations to extend the contract.
-- Even though there was still several months left on his original deal, AEW prioritized locking him down for multiple years and the new agreement is believed to run through at least 2028 though exact terms and length are not known.
