-- Vince McMahon has issued a new rule within WWE cracking down and perhaps even outright banning wrestlers slapping their thigh or leg when throwing kicks during a match. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon issued new signage to be placed at the Gorilla Position backstage that reads “Do not slap leg when kicking” as a reminder to talent before they go out for their matches. The report notes that the new edict came about after McMahon saw a “big” Smackdown wrestler execute a very obvious slap in a sloppy manner during a recent episode, and became upset. While unconfirmed, it is believed that a memo was also sent to NXT talent re-iterating this change but it’s unknown how WWE will handle situations where wrestlers break the new rule. Some wrestlers who were asked about this new rule felt that it was another knee-jerk reaction and that it will be forgotten soon enough.
