-- WWE's NXT ratings on TV have been particularly strong as of late and the company continues to put extra focus on sustaining these figures, a new report from fightfulselect.com states. WWE sources have noted that there has been an increased important placed on the NXT viewership figures on Tuesday nights and it is a significant contributing factor why WWE has loaded up recent shows with the likes of Becky Lynch, Judgment Day and other "main roster" stars on a regular basis.
-- The reason for this ultimately boils down to WWE making a concerted effort to boost up their audience in order to better negotiate a new TV rights fee deal or package with both Raw and NXT's deals coming up for expiration next year. The report adds that showing potential interested parties that slight adjustments like bringing top stars on NXT can lead to an increase in ratings gives WWE more leverage in these discussions.
-- While NXT has enjoyed strong ratings overall over the past few weeks, WWE officials were said to be thrilled with the numbers that the Becky Lynch vs. Tiffany Stratton match drew on September 12 for their title match. It was the biggest figure for NXT in almost three years and the match peaked at over one million viewers, the first time that has happened in even longer.
