In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp addressed a question from a fan regarding AEW star Adam Cole, who has been sidelined since last year due to an injury.
Sapp mentioned that, as far as he knows, there are currently no plans for Cole to return to wrestling, nor have there been any discussions about him traveling with AEW or participating in events. He indicated that Cole's situation appears to be similar to what it was in July when he announced his decision to relinquish the AEW TNT Title at All In: Texas. Sapp further noted that Tony Khan greatly values Cole and wishes to keep him as part of the AEW roster.
It was previously reported that following AEW All In: Texas, Cole was experiencing concussion-related issues; however, this has not been officially confirmed by either Cole or AEW. Last month, AEW’s Matt Jackson provided an update on Cole during an episode of Being the Elite, stating that he believes Cole is "improving" every day.
