-- Former WWE star Shelton Benjamin is a free agent and it sounds like there are promotions interested in bringing him, according to a report by fightfulselect.com.
-- The report notes that while AEW didn't initially show interest in his services after Benjamin hit free agency, the two sides have had recent conversations and discussions have taken place of him appearing for the company and these talks have said to have occurred as far back as a month ago. Despite that, it's unclear if AEW is looking to sign him to a contract or if they are simply interested in having him appear in a limited capacity.
-- Internally within AEW, there were people who were pushing for the promotion to grab him when rumors surfaced that Benjamin's WWE deal was about to expire and while AEW didn't act on that, Benjamin ended up being released by WWE towards the end of 2023. Benjamin, who had been with WWE for several years before AEW even formed, has history working with ROH.
