WWE star Aleister Black has been prominently featured on SmackDown since his return to the company last year and has been involved in a heated rivalry with Damian Priest. The two have faced off in several matches during the holiday tour, including mixed tag team matches with Rhea Ripley, and they even competed in an Ambulance Match on the January 2 episode of SmackDown.
According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Daily Updates, Black suffered a bruised tailbone during the Ambulance Match. However, it is considered a minor injury that occurred naturally during the match. Meltzer also mentioned that Black was already scheduled to take time off, so the injury will not impact WWE’s current creative plans for him.
While there is currently no information available regarding Black's return date, updates will be provided as they arise. For now, there is little cause for concern since the injury is minor.
Black won the NXT Championship from Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans and was called up to the main roster in 2019. He has participated in the Royal Rumble and recently feuded with The Miz. He is particularly known for his finishing move, the Black Mass.
