-- One of WWE's most successful female wrestlers, Charlotte Flair, makes her in-ring return on Saturday in the 30-woman Royal Rumble match. Flair missed all of 2024 after undergoing surgery on her knee to fix up a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus.
-- Last month it was reported that Flair's character was set to undergo some minor changes with a push back towards her "Queen" gimmick, however, with some negative undertones. In an update, the WrestleVotes X account reported that Flair is expected to embrace her family legacy with a "Top Girl" attitude and added "flare" to her character.
-- Perhaps most interestingly, the report noted that there's been internal talk of "championship gold" being in her future sooner rather than later. That last tidbit would seem to strengthen her odds of being one of the favorites for the Royal Rumble and it would further align with an unrelated report that WWE is planning for a Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair match at WrestleMania 41.
With Charlotte Flair set to return this weekend, a source says her presentation will fully embrace her Flair family legacy with a “Top Girl” attitude and “flare” to her character. There’s also talk of championship gold coming her way sooner rather than later.
