According to Fightful Select, NJPW star Clark Connors' contract with the company is set to expire at the end of January 2026. The report also notes that Connors is exploring his options due to interest from U.S. wrestling promotions, although NJPW is hopeful of retaining him.
This news follows reports that David Finlay is also considering his options as his NJPW deal is nearing expiration. However, NJPW is not expected to have many contracts expiring this January as is typically the case. Several of their deals were signed in the spring and summer after initial handshake agreements, meaning they won’t expire until a certain point in 2026.
Connors has not competed for NJPW in the last few months. His most recent match took place at the NJPW Hiroshi Tanahashi Final Homecoming, where he partnered with his BULLET CLUB War Dogs teammates OSKAR and Yuto-Ice, as well as Shingo Takagi, to defeat the United Empire team consisting of Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, Jakob Austin Young, and Templario.
