-- CM Punk was announced as the fifth member of Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline, joining the OTC, the Usos and Sami Zayn as they take on Solo Sikoa's Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series next weekend. Punk's inclusion into the group appears to be a well calculated plan by WWE and will evolve into a deeper storyline in the coming months according to two different sources.
-- The WrestleVotes account tweeted yesterday that Punk being in WarGames was "a surprise" and hinted that it would be the first step in a potential Punk-Roman Reigns storyline that would play out presumably next year. Meanwhile, the WRKD X account, which has hit on several stories this year, reports that Punk's inclusion will be used to push his feud with Seth Rollins in the future with Punk claiming that he stepped up to help Roman when Rollins didn't. The report adds that Punk and Rollins remain headed for a WrestleMania 41 collision.
CM Punk being part of the Survivor Series isn’t a surprise- we had that on Backstage Pass last month.
CM Punk being in WarGames, however, is a surprise. Let the Punk/Reigns story begin… https://t.co/oT85xfwsEF— WrestleVotes (@WrestleVotes) November 23, 2024
CM Punk joining Team OG Bloodline will be used as fuel in the Rollins/Punk feud in the future with Punk citing that he stepped up to help when Rollins didn’t. Still heading toward that Mania match. #Smackdown pic.twitter.com/qEzo57OYOU
