-- Yesterday afternoon, reports came in that three WWE superstars were on their way out of the company - Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell. Within hours, all three talent confirmed their exits via social media posts and since then, further details and reaction to their departures have been revealed.
-- Baron Corbin wasn't technically released at all, but was informed that the company was not interested in re-signing or extending him to a new deal once his current contract expires. Fightfulselect.com speculated that his deal runs until the end of the year at which time he would immediately become a free agent and it is believed that he will garner considerable demand on the indie circuit should he choose to continue wrestling. Corbin has rarely been used on TV throughout 2024 but has continued to be present backstage at Smackdown, while working some dark matches.
-- Meanwhile, Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell were both given their release and have 90-day non-complete clauses in effect. That would mean that neither of them will be able to sign or appear for other wrestling promotions until the beginning of February 2025. Nox has not been on WWE TV in over six months, hadn't worked dark matches or house shows either and there were no creative plans for her. She was only occasionally at Smackdown.
-- Hartwell's release was said to be the most unexpected out of the three and she was even on Smackdown last night (though the show was taped the week before). The backstage reaction to her release was of surprise as many felt she was "coming into her own" with recent social media skits. If Hartwell continues wrestling in the United States she (as well as Nox) will likely need to have their visa situation sorted out.
