Backstage News On LA Knight's Status After Falling Short In The Last Time Is Now Tournament

According to BodySlam+, despite some recent losses, LA Knight is still considered “a top player” in WWE. The report indicates that WWE sources have shared with the publication that 2026 is expected to be a much better year for Knight. Following the main event angle on RAW last Monday night, Knight is being positioned as one of the top babyfaces in WWE, especially now that he is involved with The Vision.

The report further states that Knight’s involvement in The Vision storyline is anticipated to enhance his crowd reactions positively. WWE is reportedly aware of the strong reactions Knight has been receiving and intends to play the long game with the Megastar.

Whether this will lead to Knight finally securing the WWE World Title, which has eluded him throughout his career, remains to be seen. Before losing to GUNTHER in the finals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament, Knight achieved victories over Matt Cardona, The Miz, and Jey Uso to advance to the finals.

Last Monday night, Knight assisted WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, who was attacked by The Vision. Later in the evening, Knight faced his former rival, Logan Paul, in the main event of RAW. Unfortunately, Paul won after a masked assailant from Survivor Series: WarGames interfered, slamming Knight’s face onto the announce desk. Following the match, The Vision continued their attack on Knight, with Bronson putting the Megastar in an ambulance after hitting him with a Tsunami from the top of a car in the backstage area.
