As noted, WWE has released a number of talents over the last two days, including talents who have been our injured. Fightful Select has released a new report revealing an update on the cuts, and why they could be happening now.
-Karl Anderson, who remains injured, is expected to be sidelined for at least 3-6 months before being cleared. WWE releasing injured talent is highly unusual, and Fightful is continuing to investigate if there are any additional factors behind this decision. Despite the injury, Anderson is said to be in good spirits.
-Blair Davenport had been a subject of discussion after earlier reports indicated she was expected to play a bigger role. The report states that she hadn't been considered for any creative plans as of recently. However, around the time of the Royal Rumble, a shift in direction occurred, with plans to have her work alongside Piper Niven. Recently, Davenport was brought to TV and pitched the idea of joining Chelsea Green and Piper Niven’s faction. Although a secret service-style outfit had been prepared, the angle was ultimately delayed.
-Giovanni Vinci had received strong backing from some in WWE when vignettes for him were created last year, but that momentum did not carry over to television. Most sources within the company believe he was pushed down the card and that his return is unlikely.
-As for Alba Fyre, there have been no reports of her release yet, though Isla Dawn's departure has been confirmed. There was mention of Isla Dawn attending TV recently, but that has not been verified.
-Sources close to AOP and Paul Ellering believe they will continue to perform together following their release.
-Within NXT, there is speculation that these releases are connected to a new group of talent expected to be called up to the main roster in 2025.
