According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, as of June 29, the most recent internal card for next month's WWE SummerSlam features John Cena facing Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship as the main event for Night 2. Additionally, CM Punk will challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Title, headlining Night 1.
Currently, WWE has announced nine matchups for SummerSlam, but they have not yet revealed which matches will take place on each night. The company also has not confirmed the main events for Night 1 and Night 2.
WWE SummerSlam 2025 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The event will be broadcast live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
