-- WWE debuted a new women's title last week on Friday Night Smackdown with the unveiling of the WWE Women's United States Championship. While rumors of a mid-card title belt for the ladies was long rumored, it appear its launch wasn't expected right away and not much is known yet about the company's plans for it.
-- Fightfulselect.com reports that some women's talent within WWE didn't know about the US Title announcement until the day of Smackdown. Wrestlers also are not sure if a matching title is going to be announced for the WWE Raw brand or how the first winner will be crowned, rumored to be some sort of tournament. Most wrestlers expected the title to make its way into WWE at some point with the general belief that WWE would have waited until after Survivor Series and announced it in December or January.
