Backstage News On NXT's Lead Producer Role Following Kevin Dunn's Exit From WWE

-- Lee Fitting was hired by WWE as their Head of Media & Production early in 2024 as someone who would help take some of the responsibilities that were left behind by former executive Kevin Dunn, who decided to leave the company. While Fitting has been responsible for WWE's main roster production and TV presentation, a report from fightfulselect.com indicates that his role doesn't carry over to the WWE's NXT brand as Dunn did before him.

-- The report adds that over on NXT, it is Brian Fadem - VP of Line Producing - that has those responsibilities and he has experience with that aspect of the business as he would often fill in for Dunn when Dunn was absent from a WWE live event. Fadem officially then took over as NXT's lead producer after Dunn exited the company and has drawn a generally positive reaction internally with one person stated that he "hit the ground running" and that his performance was like "he picked up someone else's tools, cleaned them off and used them like they were new again", which would seem to be referring to Dunn's way of doing things.

-- Talent within NXT have noted that Fadem is much more open to their suggestions on camera shots and other production details whereas Dunn was believed to be more restricting in nature and holding back NXT creative. Within the brand, while Fadem has carved out a significant role, there are other individuals who are also being trained on the lead producer role and in fact at the 4/30 episode of NXT, Fadem was not the lead producer as another name was learning to fulfil that role instead.
