WWE's "Unreal" docuseries premiered on Netflix this week and one of the interesting pieces of information that came out of it was an originally proposed lineup for WrestleMania 41 which took place this past April.
According a document that was shown, WWE originally had penciled in Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest referee in a match featuring Bron Breakker and Drew McIntyre. Instead, Austin came out briefly on Night Two driving an ATV (which he crashed into the ringside barricade) and announced the attendance for WrestleMania.
Below is an original concept of how WrestleMania 41 was going to look like:
- WWE Title Match: Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena
- Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins
- World Heavyweight Title Match: Gunther vs. CM Punk
- Women’s World Title Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair
- Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
- Ten Person Mixed Tag Team Match: The Wyatt Sicks vs. Judgment Day
- WWE Women’s Title Match: Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax
