Backstage News On The Possibility Of AAA And TNA Stars Joining The WWE 2K26 Roster

Over the past year, WWE has developed a working relationship with TNA and has also acquired AAA. Recently, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp in the latest Fightful Select Answers about the possibility of AAA or TNA talent being included in WWE 2K26, which is scheduled for release in Q4 2026, likely between July and September.

According to Sapp, there is a "significant chance" that prominent and easily marketable AAA talent will be added to the game, along with AAA titles and venues. He noted that including AAA is a more straightforward option since WWE is now the parent company of the lucha libre promotion.

In contrast, the situation with TNA Wrestling is more complex. Despite the partnership between WWE and TNA, TNA talent are not under contract with WWE, and TNA as a company operates independently. Sapp expressed skepticism about TNA talent being featured in WWE 2K26 but speculated that a team like the Hardys might be included. He also suggested the possibility of a TNA DLC pack instead of a complete roster.

Typically, the WWE 2K series includes non-contracted talent in its DLC packs, though these are mostly from outside the wrestling world. For example, WWE 2K25 featured several NBA stars in its second DLC pack and streamer KSI in the third. Most other DLC talent were under active WWE contracts, Legends deals, or had individual agreements to appear in the game. Therefore, it remains uncertain whether TNA talent will be included in next year’s game.
