WWE is set to hold its 2025 Clash in Paris premium live event (PLE) this Sunday, August 31st, at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France. As of now, only five matches have been confirmed for the show. However, it appears that the company is planning to add a significant matchup to the lineup, featuring two former WWE Champions.
Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio that there is a good chance a match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton will be included in the event. Meltzer clarified that while it is not guaranteed, WWE has discussed this matchup, and it is expected to take place before McIntyre challenges Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title.
This news follows Orton's return to WWE television on last week’s SmackDown, where he attacked McIntyre from behind and hit him with an RKO. Currently, WWE has not officially announced a match between the two for the Clash in Paris event.
