Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith recently appeared on WWE star Logan Paul’s podcast and joked that WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman’s position as the top manager might be at risk if he entered the WWE arena. Heyman has previously challenged Smith, taking shots at him on Twitter (X) back in 2022.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, discussions about involving Smith in WWE storylines are heating up. There was reportedly an offer for him to become a manager, but Smith declined the opportunity. He is known to be friends with WWE President Nick Khan, and maintaining a good relationship with ESPN is important to TKO. Meltzer also noted that Smith is a long-time fan of Heyman, who has appeared on his show, and Smith often mentions Heyman.
Meltzer added that while Smith may not want to take physical bumps from wrestlers, Heyman is more his size. Both men are skilled in using words as their weapons, so a promo battle between them could be a possibility in the near future. Additionally, Smith’s appearances on the Logan Paul podcast could further amplify any potential conflict between him and Heyman, often referred to as "the Wise Man."
