According to Bryan Alvarez in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, there have been additional releases from WWE since this past Friday's episode of SmackDown. Alvarez noted that there may be more releases coming and mentioned that some individuals announced this weekend had actually been let go previously, but their departures were not made public until now. He believes there could be more individuals in a similar situation.
Additionally, Alvarez was informed on Friday night that Tama Tonga had been released, but it turned out he was not released the following day. Alvarez expressed uncertainty about what this means, as it was simply the information he received.
Last week’s episode of SmackDown concluded with Jacob Fatu taking down The MFTs (Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga). However, Tama Tonga did not appear in the latest episode. As of now, Tonga is still listed as part of the SmackDown roster on WWE.com.
