According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has decided to remove press conferences from their Premium Live Event (PLE) post-shows due to the return of Brock Lesnar. This decision comes in the wake of controversy surrounding Lesnar, who has been indirectly mentioned in a sex trafficking lawsuit involving Vince McMahon. Although Lesnar wasn't named explicitly, sources from the Wall Street Journal and representatives for Janel Grant have confirmed that he was the individual referenced.
The report also indicated that WWE wanted to avoid any questions related to the ongoing legal issues or the implication that a decision had been influenced by legal considerations. Dave Meltzer described the press conferences as a "joke," noting that WWE took action to remove prominent journalists after the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE, which followed allegations against McMahon. Meltzer suggested that the press conferences were initially introduced in response to AEW's implementation of them, but WWE aimed to exert more control over the topics discussed.
