As previously reported, Je'Von Evans signed his WWE RAW contract in a segment with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce in front of fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, during Monday’s episode of RAW. However, this moment occurred during a commercial break, which surprised many and seemed to undersell the significance of the new RAW star.
According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, several people within WWE were surprised and "puzzled" by the decision to air the segment during an ad break. However, sources clarified that this decision does not reflect how Evans is viewed within the promotion. Sean Ross Sapp added that he heard rumors suggesting some RAW segments ran long, resulting in the Evans segment being moved to the commercial break. It’s important to note that these are just rumors within the company and are not confirmed.
Evans joins RAW after spending nearly two years on the NXT brand. In recent weeks, he has gained main roster exposure, including matches on RAW, SmackDown, and Saturday Night’s Main Event. In the SNME match, he teamed up with TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater to face AJ Styles and Dragon Lee in tag team action.
