Top WWE star Drew McIntyre has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 42, where he faced Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match on the first night of the event, Saturday, April 18th. Despite his best efforts, McIntyre was unable to defeat The Samoan Werewolf.
McIntyre was absent from last week’s episode of SmackDown and did not appear on last night's episode either. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, his ongoing absence from WWE programming is due to his film commitments. Johnson also reported that sources indicate McIntyre is currently filming his remaining scenes for the Highlander reboot in Scotland.
McIntyre has been working on the movie for the past few months and managed to balance his schedule during the Road to WrestleMania 42, ensuring he didn't miss performing at The Grandest Stage of Them All. There is currently no timeline set for McIntyre's return to WWE television, but updates will be provided as they become available.
