As previously reported, WWE recently released several talents from both its main roster and NXT. Notable NXT releases included Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe, Tyra Mae Steele, Malik Blade, and Luca Crusifino, all of whom had previously appeared on NXT and/or EVOLVE.
According to BodySlam+, they have confirmed a report from Fightful Select stating that these NXT cuts were made because several new talents have been signed but not yet announced by the company. Additionally, another source indicated that many of the releases were due to certain talents not demonstrating the expected progress in their training within a specific timeframe.
Along with the previously mentioned names, Chris Island, Sirena Linton, and Trill London were also let go. Reports suggest that more NXT cuts are expected in the near future.
