Backstage News On Roman Reigns’ WWE Status Ahead Of WrestleMania 42

Top WWE star "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns recently did an interview with Michael Cole, during which he was asked what would happen if he lost to the reigning World Heavyweight Champion "The Best In The World" CM Punk at WrestleMania 42. Reigns stated that if he loses, he doesn’t belong in WWE anymore and that his work would be done. This comment sparked rumors regarding Reigns' status, with some speculating that his contract might be up.

However, according to PWInsider.com, Reigns’ contract is not expiring, and sources have indicated that the company is intentionally remaining silent to allow fans to speculate about Reigns’ future leading up to WrestleMania. The report also mentioned that someone familiar with the situation assured them that even if Reigns' contract were to expire, it had all been worked out with plenty of time to spare.

Reigns will face CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on night two of WrestleMania 42 this Sunday. The event will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
