-- As previously reported, Ronda Rousey is now listed as a heel on internal WWE documents and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that her win over Liv Morgan at Extreme Rules completed a "long-planned" heel turn for the former MMA star. WWE had once upon a time planned for a WrestleMania headline match between Rousey and Becky Lynch for WrestleMania 39 and it would still be possible given the current circumstances as Rousey's heel character would be a natural opponent for Becky Lynch, who is now a babyface. The Observer hints that whatever direction WWE goes, it will become obvious soon.
-- Speaking of Rousey, fightfulselect.com reports that in June, the WWE on FOX Twitter account aired a footage showing a conversation between Rousey and her long-time friend, Shayna Baszler. This segment (seen below), which acknowledged the history and friendship between the two was envisioned by the two women themselves rather than the creative team, as WWE had originally planned to ignore their past except for a quick remark on commentary. Last month, WWE did eventually feature a quick backstage segment with the two that further hinted that the two could one day align.
โI have to stay out of this.โ @QoSBaszler tells Ronda Rousey she canโt get involved in her feud with @NatbyNature ๐
