As previously reported, WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer is currently dealing with a legitimate ankle injury, leading to speculation about her future as champion. A fan recently questioned whether Vaquer would be forced to vacate the championship soon. Sean Ross Sapp addressed this concern in the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers.
According to Sapp, there are currently no plans for Vaquer to relinquish her title. Creative plans for her next title defense are already in place, and it is scheduled to take place “relatively soon.” This follows WWE’s decision to incorporate Vaquer’s real-life injury into a storyline, with The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez repeatedly targeting her injured ankle in recent weeks.
Vaquer was last seen in action on the December 29, 2025, episode of Monday Night RAW, where she successfully defended her title against Rodriguez and Nikki Bella in a Triple Threat Match.
