WWE United States Champion Trick Williams and rapper Lil Yachty have been making regular appearances together on WWE TV since the beginning of April, during Williams' feud with then-United States Champion Sami Zayn. Lil Yachty was in Williams' corner when he won the U.S. Championship from Zayn at WrestleMania 42 and has continued to be present on WWE broadcasts since then.
According to a report from Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE officials have been praising Williams for his recent performances. The report noted that sources within WWE observed that Williams' appearance on last week's SmackDown in his home state of South Carolina was particularly well-received, especially regarding his entrance, performance, and the fan reaction. Although it was expected to be positively received given it was his home state, some within the company were pleasantly surprised by the response.
Lil Yachty has also received backstage accolades, especially for his dedication to delivering quality work on WWE TV.
Currently, Williams does not have a match scheduled for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend or WWE Clash in Italy next weekend, and there is no information available yet regarding his appearance at either event.
