Backstage News On Triller’s Relationship With Independent Wrestling Promotions Following NASDAQ Delisting

As reported at the beginning of the year, NASDAQ delisted Triller, the streaming and pay-per-view platform for several independent promotions, after it failed to submit necessary filings by December 24 of the previous year.

According to Fightful Select, independent wrestling promotions do not seem to believe they will be impacted by this situation. The report also notes that Triller’s largest partner in independent pro wrestling is likely GCW. GCW has confirmed that they received payment before the start of the year, and the Triller TV side appears to be functioning normally at this time.

The report further indicates that independent companies outside of GCW suspected that the parent company was insolvent and was using revenue from Triller TV to settle debts from other parts of the company. This speculation arose after it was reported in May of last year that Triller was facing financial difficulties. There was a long-standing belief that much of Triller's business model hinged on the expectation that TikTok would be banned, which ultimately did not occur.

As of now, Triller TV+ continues to operate normally, and the streaming platform still features a variety of indie shows.
