-- With WWE releasing Steve Cutler this week, there were reports of a situation back in January where he tested positive for COVID that ended up giving him significant heat with WWE head honcho Vince McMahon. The Observer Newsletter clarified that the belief is that Cutler held a New Year’s Eve party that led to him getting the virus and McMahon was livid because he had promised some of the other wrestlers - Roman Reigns being one - a “safe environment” when they returned to the company. However, Cutler held the party, got the virus and was around all the wrestlers which angered McMahon.
