Backstage News On When Bad Bunny Is Expected To Return To WWE

Bryan Alvarez reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live that rap music icon Bad Bunny is expected to return to WWE programming "sooner rather than later," as the company heads towards WrestleMania 42. This news comes in response to U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego urging AEW President and CEO Tony Khan on Twitter (X) to bring the musician into his promotion.

Gallego's post followed anti-ICE chants during last Wednesday's episode of Dynamite. Bad Bunny has been a vocal critic of ICE and recently addressed issues related to the organization at the Grammy Awards. Additionally, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque wished Bad Bunny good luck ahead of his performance at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, which took place on Sunday.

Bunny has had a presence in WWE since 2021, when he first competed at WrestleMania 37 in a tag team match alongside Damian Priest. He participated in the Men's Royal Rumble the following year and made his singles debut at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, where he defeated Priest in an exciting Street Fight.
