According to BodySlam+, reigning WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi is set to be called up to the main roster soon. The report also indicated that WWE officials view Femi as being on par with Bron Breakker, who will compete for the World Heavyweight Title against CM Punk next week on the first episode of RAW in 2026.
This aligns with an earlier report by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, which highlighted Femi’s impressive performance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. WWE officials see the current NXT Champion as a top Superstar, and given Breakker's recent feature on WWE programming, it suggests that Femi is on the path to becoming a main event-level talent for years to come in the company.
The news follows Femi's recent singles match against reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event earlier this month. The match ended in a no contest due to interference from Drew McIntyre. However, BodySlam+ reports that WWE officials were “unbelievably impressed” by Femi’s performance and his appearance the night before in a promo segment with Rhodes on SmackDown. As a result, vignettes were created for Femi that aired on both SmackDown and RAW.
