Backstage News On Why WWE Removed The Ricky Saints Segment From Last Week’s NXT On Social Media

During last week’s NXT Vengeance Day go-home episode of NXT TV, a concert segment titled "The Absolute Experience" featuring Ricky Saints headlined the show. In this segment, Saints mocked NXT Champion Joe Hendry and his past concerts ahead of their upcoming title match at NXT Vengeance Day. However, the segment was not well received by fans and was subsequently removed from social media after initially being posted.

According to Fightful Select, the poor reception was the reason for the segment's removal. The report also indicated that sources within NXT noted that the segment was not pitched by Saints; he has been trying to avoid mimicking the style of The Rock on WWE television.

The report mentioned that backstage reactions were “lukewarm,” and those interviewed did not believe the segment would negatively impact either Hendry or Saints. It was noted that both performers managed to recover well at NXT Vengeance Day.

Regarding Saints’ future, most sources indicated that they did not expect him to remain on the NXT roster for a full year when he joined the company last year. Saints made his NXT debut on the February 11th, 2025, episode of NXT.
