Backstage News On WWE Reportedly Showing Interest In NJPW’s Gabe Kidd

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (via F4WOnline.com), top NJPW star and former IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Gabe Kidd is generating significant interest from WWE. Meltzer noted that Kidd’s NJPW contract is likely set to expire at the end of the month, as is common with most NJPW talent contracts, though he is not completely certain of this.

Meltzer further mentioned that WWE is particularly interested in bringing Kidd in on a full-time basis, but AEW is also eager to secure him for a full-time role.

Kidd made his professional wrestling debut at the age of 14, using a mask to hide his age. He is a former member of the Bullet Club and its sub-faction, the War Dogs, alongside Alex Coughlin. Originally from Nottingham, England, Kidd has been an ally of the Death Riders, although he is not an official member. He has made several appearances for AEW as part of the ongoing partnership with NJPW.
