According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, he has been informed that the roster cuts are currently complete. Meltzer noted that while he is unsure if every name has been accounted for, all individuals on the cut list have already been notified. If someone was informed but hasn't yet shared it on social media, or hasn't had their name removed from the website, it's possible that one or two additional names could still be revealed. However, for now, all cuts have been finalized.
This follows Bryan Alvarez's comment on Wrestling Observer Live, where he expressed his belief that more talent releases could be imminent. Alvarez reported that he was informed last Friday that Tama Tonga might be among the latest releases. However, as of now, Tama Tonga remains on the WWE roster.
Previously, Meltzer mentioned that WWE and TKO had refrained from making roster cuts last year because TKO had recently taken over the company and wanted to portray a positive image. It's worth noting that WWE released 15 talents on May 2 of last year, which included well-known names like Braun Strowman, Cora Jade (Elayna Black), Cedric Alexander, Gigi Dolin, Shayna Baszler, and Dakota Kai. Additionally, The Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering were released earlier in the year.
Meltzer also reported that WWE's creative team had a say in the roster cuts, advising management on which talents they did not plan to utilize. Furthermore, it has been reported that more names were cut from the SmackDown roster, as SmackDown is expected to revert to a two-hour format soon.
