Backstage News On WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Receiving An Updated Look

According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, the WWE Saturday Night's Main Event (SNME) special, which made its return earlier this year with a classic, retro vibe reminiscent of the original SNME events from the 1980s, is set to receive an updated look.

The report indicates that WWE has been discussing this change since August. However, it remains unclear whether the new presentation will be permanent or just for this weekend's event, which will feature the final match of John Cena's career.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that the next edition of WWE SNME, scheduled for January 2026 in Montreal, Quebec, is currently being advertised with the retro branding. This suggests that the updated look may be a temporary choice for this weekend's show, given that it includes Cena's last match.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event will take place this Saturday, December 13th, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The event will air live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
