As previously reported, WWE filed new trademarks for several ring names with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on Thursday, March 19th. One of the names trademarked was Anya Rune.
According to BodySlam+, sources within WWE indicate that Anya Rune is set to be the ring name of Airica Demia. It is currently unclear when and where Demia will officially adopt Anya Rune as her new ring name, but updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Demia participated in a WWE Tryout session in Orlando last month. At 21 years old, she is a freelance wrestler from Gastonia, North Carolina. She made her in-ring debut in January 2023 and has since competed for several independent promotions. Demia currently holds three championships: the IGB Super Championship, the HCW Women’s World Championship, and the SPARK Joshi Pacific Championship.
In addition to Anya Rune, WWE also filed to trademark the names "Max Abrams," "Veronica Haven," "Gianna Capri," and "Jacari Ball." BodySlam+ previously reported that Max Abrams will be the in-ring name of WWE developmental talent Mike Cunningham.
