Backstage News On WWE's Decision To Hold WrestleMania 41 Over Easter Weekend

-- WWE recently announced that next year's WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will be held on April 19-20, 2025 at Allegiant Stadium which falls on Easter weekend. Traditionally, WWE has avoided this holiday since it has proven to be a weak weekend for travel and tourism, which ironically is the reason that Vegas wanted it on this date, according to the Observer Newsletter.

-- The report states that WrestleMania has reached a stage where it doesn't matter when it is held and people will still travel, attend and watch even if it lands on Easter. The only date that WWE looks to be avoiding in the future is the Final Four weekend. While this year's show conflicted with that tournament and still did well, it is mainly the Raw after WrestleMania that sees a dent in viewership despite being one of the most anticipated episodes of the year.

-- The Observer added that WWE's new ownership group also is all about mainstream visibility and likely feels that 'Mania gets buried behind basketball whereas holding the event over Easter means it will be the biggest event of that weekend and catch a lot of media coverage and celebrity tie-ins.
