Backstage News On WWE's Interest in AEW's Younger Talent; AEW Focusing On The Opposite

-- In last week's edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a discussion of talent moving from WWE to AEW and vice versa was discussed. The report stated that one person in WWE observed that the "wrestling war" between the two promotions is beginning to mimic that of WWE vs. WCW or TNA or Bellator in the sense that AEW will continue to sign "older" talent (Adam Copeland as a starter) from WWE that have name value while WWE will be looking at AEW's younger talent (Jade Cargill is the first example) that ultimately this is history repeating itself.

-- The report goes onto state that there is a belief internally that some of the younger AEW stars are already talking about leaving the promotion once their deals are up and even within AEW itself, there are people suggesting the same thing that it's a well known fact that many talent are already eyeing a departure. The hope in AEW is that this number is limited as it could potentially create a perception that AEW is sort of like a minor league for WWE and that would not be a good image for the company. The report also noted that there will be a lot of movement in both directions but WWE is clearly only interested in the younger wrestlers.
