-- According to f4wonline.com, the planned next direction for WWE champion Brock Lesnar is a storyline with former champ Bobby Lashley. As of this past weekend, that was the idea WWE was moving forward with and the reason the five-way title match at the Day 1 PPV was put together, specifically with Lashley "glaring" at Lesnar after the title win. Also in the match, the program was set up with Lesnar never having hit the F5 on Lashley but Lashley got the Hurt Lock on Brock, forcing Big E to make a save.
-- If this match materializes as expected, it will be their first singles meeting though feuds between the two have been teased over the years with both individuals being former MMA competitors with successful careers. Longer term, the plan is still to go back to whatever direction was planned between Lesnar and Roman Reigns at Day 1 before Reigns was pulled after testing positive for COVID-19.
