Backstage News On WWE’s Reported Plans For The Women’s Title Match At WrestleMania 42

WWE is set to hold WrestleMania 42 on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the majority of the card has yet to take shape, with several championship titles and storylines lacking clear direction.

According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, the company has not yet determined the direction for the Women’s Title for WrestleMania. The report also noted that WWE has discussed various possibilities for the title match, with both Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton being considered as potential contenders to face Jade Cargill.

Stratton is the wrestler who Cargill defeated for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event in November of last year. She made her return in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match last month, reaching the final two before being eliminated by Liv Morgan. Jade Cargill, who has held the Women’s Championship for 100 days, has yet to defend her title on television. However, she did defend it several times during last year's holiday live event tour, and her first title defense will be against Jordynne Grace on this week's episode of SmackDown.
